If Revis is cut I can't see him signing with a team that doesn't have a shot to make the playoffs never mind not have a shot to win their division.

And yeah I know he left New England for New York but that's different cause he went back to the team that drafted him and he called home for most of his career. He has no ties to Miami.

Chiefs offseason:

Matt Barkley
Kiko Alanso

Trade Alex Smith and their 1st round pick to the Browns for the 12th pick and 3rd round pick in the the 2017 draft.

I know this isn't likely but it seems like a fair value.

Pat Maholms QB

Some say he will be gone way before this pick but with the trade I suggested means only two teams in need of a QB are picking before them and I see them taking Trubiski and Watson. That leaves Maholms available for the Cheifs to select.

Charels Harris DE

The Cheifs are lacking 1 DE away from having a scary D-line.

All that is left is for them to sign/draft some offensive line help and maybe draft a receiver in the late rounds. Other than that I think they are good.

What do you guys think?

You're funny Bell will be the highest paid RB/ Pitt will franchise tag him Hightower is going to be top 3 paid LB and wouldn't leave the Pats for a sorry team like the Lions plus he's likely to get tagged and JPP will get more and he's not a DT.

the first two guys will get franchise tagged but I could see JPP landing in Detroit but not for that cheap especially since other teams want him and will be willing to pay him more to land him. Maybe try to get Eddy Lacy, and Jarvis Jones.

Again all I can say is that Bell and Hightower are getting tagged and are going to spend their whole career with their current franchises but I could see them grabbing JPP but they will be competing with other teams to land him so he will get more $$$ probably.

I am a die hard Patriots fan and all I have to say is what a game. That was probably one of the most stressful games of my life. But what I am amazed is that the last time we won it was on a goal line INT by Butler and this year an overtime score by James White and the 2 times before that against the Giants even though we lost they had 2 crazy plays, so all I can think about is what crazy play will happen the next time the Patriots are in the super bowl? Will Brady rush for 200 yards and 3 TDs? But I do have to say that the Falcons did put up a great fight and they will be good for many more years.

Patriots offseason:

Trade Jimmy G and Cyrus Jones to the Browns for the #12 pick and a 4th round pick in this years draft and a 4th in next years draft.

Projected cap space: about 9 million

Bennett(depending on how much he wants)-depending on his price it would be nice to keep him around to put with Gronk.

Floyd(depending on how much he wants)- The Pats need a physical WR and Floyd can be that for them if he can get his life together and for the right price. Even though he would be the 5th WR I think he would take it to stay with the Pats.

Hightower(he is either getting resigned or franchise tagged)-No explanation needed.

Blount(1-2 year deal)-When he first arrived he showed he was a great fit for us and then when he left he struggled and when he was released and resigned with us and got back to his old way he proved that he should stick with us for the rest of his career, especially after the year he just had.

Ryan(3 year deal)- he had a great year and makes up half of the Pats CB core and he is young and needs to stay and get paid.

Butler(3 year deal)-The other half of the CB core, and has had great season since he earned the #1 CB role. Plus after what he did for the team during the last super bowl makes him a fan favorite and the Pats would never here the end of it if he isn't brought back.

Harmon(depending on how much he wants)- He is a great depth piece and could do very well when on the field but depending on the money and cap space after bring back everyone else Harmon might not be back but t would be nice if he does.

Develin(2 year deal)- Who doesn't like a good FB, especially Develin, everyone loves him and he is exactly what the Pats look for in a FB and I think he comes back.

Patterson(1 year deal)- The Pats return game last year was not that good, Jones never worked out and Patterson is known for his return ability and shouldn't cost too much. That was my thinking here, plus you can never have too many receivers.

Poyer(1 year deal)- If Harmon doesn't come back Poyer would be a good replacement since he is young and shouldn't cost too much, plus the Pats are always able to find hidden gems on the Browns and turn them into good and sometimes great players.

1. Derek Barnett(12th)-replaces Chris Long

2. Jalon Tabor/Sidney Jones(32nd)-replaces Cyrus Jones and gives us a great CB Core with Butler and Ryan with Rowe and Coleman as depth

3. T.J Watt(64th)- gives us depth at LB and could even win an OLB job away from Nickovitch or Mclellon

4. Buckey Hodges(96th)- gives us depth at TE and with Bennett a FA and if he leaves Hodges will be a good pair with Gronk but even if Bennett resigns he will only get a 2 year deal max so Hodges can develop and replace him in a few years

5. Elijah Qualls(97th)- Replace Allan Branch and pair with Malcom Brown and Vincent Valentine.

I know this is a lot but I think this would put the Pats over the top and make them SB contenders even after TB12 retires.

What do you guys think?

CLE won't give up a 1st for him. I say it's a 2nd and 4th this year.

Cleveland still has two 1st and a 2nd then. They're trying to rebuild and trading a 1st round pick for a guy with 2 career starts is not the smartest plan.

Cutler, you're correct he would be, but that would also give the team drafting him 5 years of control. He is a FA next year which decreases his return.

Probably won't cut Amindola and probably won't bring Sheard back and we will probably bring Blount back and we have no need for Mason, Smith, Lang, Wilcox, Britt, Fairly and Murray. The only signing that makes sense here is Perry. And I doubt that the Browns trade the 12th overall pick for Jimmy G. As a Pats fan I wish he was worth that much but I don't see it happening. I see them trading him to someone like the Broncos for their first round pick. And using our 2 first round picks on Sydney Jones/ Quince Wilson/ Adoree Jackson and Charels Harris. But I think that they should prioritize resigning their own players that they should bring back and then go after the FAs that would fit their scheme. It isn't like the Pats to target top FAs or sign many either. So all in all that's what I think is wrong with your post

Agree0 Disagree1

31 Jan 2017 22:27:09
All in all you're 100% wrong. I eat breathe sleep Patriots I watch them closer than anybody I'd much rather have Murray than Blunt as he's a lot younger, if Amendola doesn't accept a pay cut then he should be released, wasn't very productive and would clear up 7M in cap.

Patriots LBs are thin Smith would be a welcome backup

Patriots O-line could use some work up the middle for sure, Wilcox why not it'd help improve the secondary, Britt is the wideout the Pats need he's a deep ball threat and one of the best available receivers, Hogan isn't a number 2 receiver so we'd have a hole.

We need depth at the DT position and Fairley was one of the best and will be cheap

Agree0 Disagree2

01 Feb 2017 14:12:12
I am a die hard Pats fan too and I just don't see them spending that much in FA. And a lot of those guys won't come for cheap like Murray and Lang and don't get me wrong I would love for the Pats to get most of the guys you suggested but it just isn't the Patriot way to go out and get a lot of FAs.

I see them addressing the DE, CB and LB spots this offseason along with being back guys like Blount Hightower and Butler and maybe Bennett too depending on his price, and if his price is too high I see them drafting Bucky Hodges in the 4th round to replace him.
