Giants Ideal but Highly Unlikely Offseason

They're main goals should be to revamp the defense because it's last in the NFL this year and to sure up the WR position because Beckham needs help and you don't know what to expect from Cruz

Release Jon Beason, Geoff Shwartz, and Weston Richburg for salary cap relief.

Like I said this is all very unlikely but they really need to go out and get some elite defenders to revamp this defense and Jeffery and Gates give them a couple of viable options on offense so you don't have to rely on nothing but Odell all the time.

So what do you guys think. Obviously not all of these moves can be made for salary cap reasons but are any of them realistic?

I really like Weddle in NY and Wilkerson could be tempted by an easy move but can't say I agree with too much else.

So the Giants spend $423 million dollars in the offseason ($124 million Average Annual Salary) which puts them at $190 million dollars for their cap next year. In case you forgot there is a Salary Cap in the NFL which is projected to be $150 million dollars next year (even with the increase) . This isn’t Madden, you can't turn off the Salary Cap. If you’re going to take time to post something at least make it valid.

aj62088, try reading my last paragraph where I clearly stated "Obviously not all of these moves can be made for salary cap reasons". I'm not an idiot. I proposed all of my ideas in one post fully knowing that they aren't all possible because of the salary cap and just wanted to know if ANY of them were possible. Not ALL of them.

First niners will not trade their best player. Second Von Miller and Alshon I see are getting franchise tagged.

Niners trade is HORRIBLE and there is no way the Giants sign that many free agents.

lol your trades are awful lol you'd have to atleast give a first in each one of the 2. amukamara will get more money than that. an von miller an smith are 3-4 olb so unless you guys transition to a 3-4 it wouldn't make much sense for either side. an why would the giants sign jeffery when they have one of the worst defenses to rebuild? this just seems like a dream list more than what then what they should do.
